Abstract

Social media platforms utilize complex algorithms to maximize user retention. This psychological study investigates the link between algorithmic content curation and self-esteem issues among adolescents aged 13-18. Results indicate a strong correlation between exposure to idealized lifestyle content and reported symptoms of anxiety and body dysmorphia.
